About Us

Heartwood's founder and principle designer, Levi Rynearson, is a licensed landscape architect with the State of California. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Landscape Architecture from the University of California, Davis. Levi also holds MWELO (Model Water Efficient Landscape Ordinance) and SWPPP (Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan) certifications.​​

Levi is a Sacramento native with extensive ties to the local landscaping community and has worked in the field of landscape architecture and design since 2012. With an emphasis on construction and project budgeting, Levi has a vast knowledge base of real-world construction implementation. This background provides Heartwood with the tools to design projects to fit any practical and budgetary needs while elevating outdoor aesthetics.
